Who is Jamarrion Tabor?

In this episode, Jamarrion goes into detail about her background in the childcare industry. Her background is the foundation and the reflection of where her business is today. What initially got Jamarrion into childcare was her entrepreneurial mindset. Prior to owning a childcare business, Jamarrion had experience in working a boutique. However, when she moved to Atlanta she felt the market was too saturated. Eventually, she went back to working a regular job that was taking too much time away from her family, so her husband suggested that she start an at-home childcare business. Once she did it for a year, she decided to acquire a brick and mortar location.

What is it Like Working in the Childcare Industry?

Furthermore, Jamarrion talks about the importance of having structure in your childcare business. She explains that while working with kids is rewarding and can be fun, having policies and procedures in place are important. She emphasizes that people don’t look at the business part of childcare enough and that the business part is one of the most important aspects of childcare. Jamarrion’s passion for childcare is fueled by the outcome of her industry. She believes that early childhood is the foundation for education and that it is much deeper than just “babysitting.”
